breakfast: coffee & jelly

monday lunch
lunch: rice with salmon flakes, simmered kabocha with minced chicken, & cucumber cheddar salad

dessert: ta-da. the jelly cake that i modeled after the shop’s decoration jelly below (which i had way before i started this blog). obviously the shop’s tastes so much better, but mine’s not too bad. i’d say it’s pretty decent and presentable for the first try. i don’t know if there will ever be the second try, though. if there is, i just have to stop being so afraid of sugar.

dinner: grilled chikuwa topped with spicy red bean mayo sauce, cheese, and panko

P.S. Thank you, Michelle, for the lovely card. It was even sweeter as I wasn’t expecting it, and it’s got the whole fruit theme going with the stamps and everything. So very thoughtful of you.

    Ai, the jelly cake looks pretty amazing! By the way, have you heard of Bompas and Parr ( They make insane, wonderful jelly sculptures.

      Thanks, Michelle. As for the recipe, there is no recipe to speak of. I didn’t take notes of what I was doing. So I want to encourage people to sweat over it like I did and share thoughts with me instead of asking for recipes, you know? :-)
