thursday breakfast
breakfast: coffee & maple walnut scones with failed “whipped” cream from last night’s experiment

thursday lunch
lunch: carrot salad, curry cup noodle, & persimmon

dinner: spicy potato chips. look at the potato going,”yeeeehaw!!” they aren’t that spicy.

The jelly I made last night. It’s not bad, but it’s not great “yet.”

The owner of one of my favorite cafes, Hoco, will put out her first recipe book in November. I am *beyond* excited. Her scones are the absolute best. I hope she has included the scone recipe in the book.

    Jelly making at this level is almost an artform…
    Ha that potato looks more like a baby’s head…maybe it’s just too smooth looking without any of those knots you normally see on potatoes.

    Little trick for the whipped cream :
    firstly only works with fresh full fat cream!
    put it in a bowl then in the freezer for at least 20min – 30min. Then beat it strongly (not too long) it should take around 5 minutes, if you beat it too long it’ll turn into butter :)
