thursday breakfast
breakfast: coffee, peanut butter muffin, & orange

thursday lunch
lunch: somen topped with ratatouille

dessert: matcha soft serve

snack: red wine & curry-flavored curl (373kcal)

thursday dinner
dinner: shin ramen with egg and cheese

I’m motivated to do anything but cooking. This is so embarrassing. What have you been eating lately? Anything healthy?

    we have been eating healthy, the fruit and veg in the market right now is just beautiful.Pasta salads with carrot, broccoli, onion, celery, olives and cutup bits of mozzarella, with an olive oil and balsamic dressing I made today, we will have it with BBQ chicken with a lovely citrus BBQ sauce, strawberries short cake for desert, well thats not too healthy (the desert),
    Its very warm here in Ontario Canada, 32 Celsius today, not turning the oven on today, but I did make Sunshine muffins the other day and baked the short cake part of our desert.The sunshine muffins have carrot, pineapple, coconut, walnuts in them, I suppose you could call them healthy but they do have butter and sugar in them, I just love the look of the Matcha soft serve,

      I want to have a bite of your Sunshine muffin. That sounds really good.

      Do you call 32C “warm”? I call it HOT! Well, it’s almost as hot as 32C here as well but with so much humidity it makes it feel so much hotter.

    Leek and potato soup, green tea noodles with a boiled egg and steamed vegetables and fruit frappes made by simply blending up your favourite fruits with some ice… or you could use lemonade! Hope you get your cooking groove back.

    Oops, I misunderstood. Cooking is the only thing you have motivation for! Well, that’s isn’t so bad, perhaps…

      You didn’t misunderstand! Maybe I wrote it wrong. I just woke up and can’t think straight about that sentence…

    P.S. You are not alone when it comes to zero motivation for cooking ^^; Trying to change that!

    does raw cookie dough made with whole grain flour count as healthy? it’s so hot and humid right now, anything that doesn’t have to be cooked is what’s on the menu; cucumber sandwiches, apples and cinnamon, carrots, peanut butter and celery, pimento cheese sandwiches. green tea is about the only hot thing. the matcha soft serve looks heavenly! browsing cooking blogs may help motivate you.

      Part of it is that it’s been raining, and I don’t feel like going shopping, either. Hey, when you say apples and cinnamon, do you slice up apples and sprinkle cinnamon over them or something?

        yes! when i was young, mom would sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over sliced apples; but now i just like the cinnamon and apples. usually “pink lady” varieties.

    I’ve been studying frantically for an exam, so I ate a lot of junk food. I hope that’ll get better over the next few weeks. I’m visiting my parents on the weekend and have a picnic planned – some Scandinavian style sandwiches with Dill bread, Karelian Potato pasties, cardamom buns and coffee. I hope it doesn’t rain.

  7. though i make about 85% of our meals at home, i haven’t been motivated to “cook” lately either: the result is a lot of corn salad and canned beans. (not together. and usually dressed up a little bit. but you get the idea.)

    it seems to me like you’re doing just fine—& i am jealous of your pb muffins. they look perfect.
